It seems like everyone is a Beatles fan, everyone has a story involving the John, Paul, George and Ringo. It’s that notion that drives a new documentary titled Beatles Stories, which will be released digitally and on DVD next month (October 2nd).

In it, fans – famous and less-than-known alike – share their encounters with the Fab Four. Those making appearances in the film include: Brian Wilson, Sir George Martin (the producer known as “the fifth Beatle”), Smokey Robinson, Art Garfunkel, The Monkees’ Davy Jones, Graham Nash (of Crosby, Stills & Nash), The Bangles’ Susanna Hoffs, The Doors’ Ray Manzarek, Sir Ben Kingsley, Henry Winkler and Jon Voight.

In a sneak peek of the film, Graham Nash recalls an early-morning phone call from Paul McCartney in 1967, asking him to come down to EMI studios for what turned out to be a televised broadcast of “All You Need Is Love.” The session ended up being a who’s who of rock’n'roll, with members of the Rolling Stones and the Who and Eric Clapton in attendance.

Beatles Stories was made over an eight-year period by songwriter to the stars Seth Swirsky, whose industry connections surely helped him in securing big-name interview subjects. The film’s release comes just in time for the 50th anniversary of the release of The Beatles’ first single, “Love Me Do,” on October 5th.

Beatles Stories will also screen at the Egyptian Theatre in L.A. on day of release (October 2nd).
