Forget his last dance with Mary Jane, Tom Petty will be going for one last ride to kill the pain before he auctions off his most prized possession tomorrow on eBay.

Tom Petty’s classy champagne Jaguar XJS is a rare classic, production on this model ended in 1996. The car has a very special place in Tom’s heart as he purchased it on a whim. His wife Dana – at the time girlfriend – said this was her favorite type of car and Tom jumped at the opportunity to wow her with it.

The proceeds will go to Doctors Without Borders, an international medical humanitarian organization that serves more than 60 countries. They give assistance to survivors of violence, neglect and catastrophe.
