Buncha Songs About Bike Riding In (Dis)Honor Of Lance Armstrong
If you’ve been too busy checking out the new iPad or actually caring about democracy, it might have slipped through your RSS feed that one-time cyclist hero 41-year-old Lance Armstrong was stripped of all his seven Tour de France titles and banned from cycling in the race for ALL TIME.
Why the hating on Armstrong? Apparently, the charitable cyclist had been engaged in the “most sophisticated, professionalised and successful doping programme sport has ever seen.” Armstrong has denied allegations, but at some point gave up on contesting the charges.
Very few probably know the full truth of the situation, but here’s hoping that Armstrong is actually as clean as he says he is. At this point, he might just need a Tiger Woods-style sabbatical so people can forget what he’s allegedly done or not done.
In the meantime, we’ve put together a buncha songs about bike riding for the event. After you shoot a protein shake and take to PCH, play this so you can feel like your own (undoped) version of Lance Armstrong.
