If you’re the Los Angeles Lakers and have Pau Gasol, Steve Nash, Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard, and Metta World Peace on your roster, it’s pretty much a slam dunk (pun intended) that you will have a winning season.
That hasn’t been the case so far. Despite have the highest payroll in the league, they’re only 1 in 4. The Laker higher ups have figured out what could be the problem with this all-star combination. Today, they have fired Head Coach Mike Brown.
Brown is just two years into his four-year, $18 million deal, and has received scrutiny from day one. ESPN has reported that one of the assistant coaches, Bernie Bickerstaff or Check Person, will fill in as head coach until they find a suitable replacement.
