Let’s just get the obvious pun out the way before continuing.

It’s a “Paradise Lost.”

Sorry. Had to get that one off our chest as well.

Now that we’ve cleared the air, let’s get down to business. There’s a dead whale stinking up the neighborhood around Paradise Cove in Malibu. The three year old fin whale was apparently struck and killed by a boat propeller. It’s body eventually found its way to the Malibu shore.

While most whale carcasses are towed out to sea, this one has sparked a jurisdiction issue, leaving the body to rot on the beach while authorities figure out which agency is responsible for the cleanup.

CBS LA reports that the carcass has run aground near the home of Barbra Streisand, which begs the question, “What’s worse? Living by Babs or living next to a dead whale?”

On one hand, you have a 41 foot, 21 ton whale that’s decomposing on the beach (four days now at the time of writing). On the other hand, you have this:
