After the Newtown tragedy and tons of other incidents with guns this month, the debacle over whether citizens should legally have the right to possess firearms has lit up the media and has encouraged local and state governments to set up initiatives for those in possession of guns who have rethought their stance or just don’t want them anymore.
Maybe you got a gun for Christmas and it’s freaking you out? Then you can turn it into the LAPD anonymously for either $100 or $200 if it’s an assault weapon–no questions asked.
Big Brother won’t try to track you down. They won’t ask your name, make you fill anything out, or anything. You just drive directly over to the drop off point with your guns securely in your trunk and do what the cops say.
Like an action-thriller film, only not remotely at all.
Here’s where to go:
In an effort to make this years’ end the safest it can be, the Gun Buyback will take place onWednesday, December 26th, at two Los Angeles locations. In the San Fernando Valley guns may be surrendered in Van Nuys at the Van Nuys Masonic Temple, 14750 Sherman Way, CA 91405,and in South Los Angeles at the Los Angeles Sports Arena – Parking Lot #6. (Martin Luther King Jr Blvd and Figueroa Street) 3939 South Figueroa Street, Los Angeles, CA 90037.
