Los Angeles DUI Checkpoints During The Holiday Season
Hey you eggnog-loving knucklehead: DUI checkpoint warnings aren’t so that you can drink, drive, and bypass trouble. They are so you can drive sober and not be stuck in two hours worth of traffic trying to get past the cops cracking down on the idiots who are drinkin’ and weavin’.
Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, Los Angeles law enforcement has announced that they will be unleashing a buttload of DUI checkpoints during the holiday season because, well, let’s face it, people are partying and being morons.
“Lots of people will be out during this busy holiday season enjoying themselves and the holiday festivities, and we want everyone to be safe on our roadways,” said Glendora Police Chief Rob Castro via the LA Times. “Please be forewarned, if you are caught driving impaired, you will be arrested.
You want it, you got it. 100 checkpoints from a press release via LAist. Be good instead of being careful. That’s always the best plan.
