Scientology. Founded by L. Ron Hubbard, Scientology is one of the most mysterious organizations in the world, and they’ve virtually become a staple in the Los Angeles community with so many celebrities become devout scientologists.
While they’ve built some pretty large buildings throughout our city, if you walk fast away from the people who want to test your emotions or whatever with those little squeezy hand things (not shocking, they will always tell you something is wrong with you and you need their help), it’s easy to dodge all Scientology.
But that doesn’t keep conspiracy theorists from running rampant with ideas on what the Scientologists might be up to. For BBC Panorama reporter John Sweeney that means a Scientology crop-circle in New Mexico that is a message for the aliens.
Sweeney says that the alien message is two interlocking circles and a large diamond inside which were made as signs for Scientologists “returning from space to find Mr. Hubbard’s works after a nuclear Armageddon wipes out humanity.”
There is also an multi-million dollar “alien space cathedral” in New Mexico that was built underground in the ’80s and “houses the lectures of Hubbard on gold discs locked in titanium caskets sealed with argon. The cathedral is H-bomb proof,” says Sweeney.
What do you think? Have scientologists really figured out a way to communicate with aliens or are they all just gullible to Hubbard’s philosophies?
And don’t forget what one believer, John Travolta, says: “I think you might like it.”
