So it turns out that the Amazon is not the wildest part of Brazil. Nope, that honor goes to its virgin youth.

A few months ago Catarina Migliorini made international news when she auctioned off her virginity to help raise money for charity.

Well, fellow Brazilian Rebecca Bernardo has decided to follow in Migliorini’s footsteps and has placed her virginity on the auction block. Bernardo’s just cause? She is seeking money to help provide for her ailing mother who recently suffered a stroke.

Although the women’s motive may seem to be, ahem, “pure”, Migliorini has yet to fulfill her end of the bargain, which will now be part of a documentary. Migliorini, has, however, scored a spread in Playboy Brazil.

A local TV station offered to pay for Bernardo’s mother’s medical bills if she withdrew her auction, but Bernardo refused, according to the Huffington Post. She was hoping for enough money to relocate her and her mother.

So are these Brazilians nobly selling their ass-ets to help ease the burdens of others, or are they, as many have bluntly accused them of, simply first time prostitutes? The debate rages.
