2012 was an awesome year for movies. The Dark Night Rises? Hunger Games? Django Unchained? the merciful end of the Twilight Saga? Well, 2013 is pretty loaded as well so let’s get right to it…..

#10- World War Z- (starring Brad Pitt)– the production buzz on this movie has been less than stellar but you watch this trailer and tell me you don’t get some goose-bumpage going. Zombies have officially replaced vampires as our favorite evil undead menace. Please make a note of it.

Scheduled Release: June 21st

#9 -Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For (starring Clive Owen, Jessica Alba, Mickey Rourke) If you didn’t see the first Sin City movie, well, you must be a Quaker or something. Horrific and poetically awesome violence at every turn in installment #1, no reason Sin City 2 should be any different. Sorry, no trailer yet but we do have some poster artwork. Ah what the hell, I’ll include the trailer from the first movie so you have some point of reference should you be one of those jerks that never saw it to begin with.

Schedule Release: Oct.4th

#8 the Great Gatsby (starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Isla Fisher, Tobey MacGuire) FINALLY somebody decided to turn F. Scott’s Fitzgerald’s novel into a full-blown Hollywood production. Wonder if the Star Spangled Banner will be next? Wait. That’s Francis Scott Key. Nevermind. Just watch the trailer and shut up.

Scheduled Release: May 10th

#7 -Oz: the Great and Powerful (starring James Franco, Mila Kunis, Michelle Williams) Yep. Hollywood has done the semi-unthinkable. They’ve remade the Wizard of Oz. Well…..sort of. But not really. Unbunch your panties for a minute, watch the trailer and know that Sam Raimi is at the helm for this flick. It looks absolutely beautiful. Time will tell if it holds up on the big screen.

Scheduled Release: March 8th

#6 -A Good Day to DIE HARD (starring Bruce mother f&*$!%g Willis) Does Die Hard 5 need ANY explaining?

Scheduled Release: February 14th

#5 -Anchorman 2 (starring Will Ferrell, Christina Applegate, Paul Rudd) Again, do I need to explain why Anchorman 2 is on this list? Thought not.

Scheduled Release: December 20th

#4- Iron Man 3 (starring Robert Downey Jr, the corpse of Gweneth Paltrow, Guy Pearce) Whoa. After watching this trailer it’s obvious, Iron Man has a legit enemy to face in this third installment. And Marvel, for the love of god…could you please get me a Ghostface Killah from the Wu-Tang Clan cameo in ONE of these Iron Man movies? Please?

Scheduled Release: May 3rd

#3 -Hunger Games: Catching Fire (starring Jennifer Lawrence and some other people) With a November release date we’re still too far out to have a trailer or even a teaser but with the breakout success of the Hunger Games in 2012, it is a must for this list. Here is a fan made teaser trailer that isn’t too god awful.

Scheduled Release: November 22nd

#2- Star Trek Into Darkness (starring Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg) Director JJ Abrams hit a home run with his first in this Star Trek reboot, absolutely no reason to think he won’t do the same in round 2. Plus, word on the street is that KHAAAAAAAAN makes his return to the Star Trek big screen.

Scheduled Release: May 17th

#1- Man of Steel (starring Kevin Costner, Russel Crowe, Amy Adams, Henry Cavil) This trailer is ab-so-lute-ly FLAWLESS. Sure, the Superman movie franchise has been a bit mis-handled in the recent past but look at the pedigree attached to this one. Superman may just in fact be back for real this time.
