If you thought the Puppy Bowl couldn’t get any better, consider yourself fooled. Hedgehog cheerleaders have now been added into the mix. Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl is nine years strong and has even more to offer this year for you canine lovers.
Much like the Super Bowl, the Puppy Bowl contains a fierce competition of living beings playing tackle football, only these living beings happen to be furry and adorable. Super bowl or Puppy Bowl, go ahead take your pick.
This year’s Puppy Bowl will be filmed by none other than gerbils on blimps, with roosters and chickens rooting from the sidelines, and a kitten halftime show that will eat your heart out. According to MNN, 63 pups from shelters around the US will be competing for the MVP (Most Valuable Puppy) award.
For quality Puppy Bowl viewing new additions such as close-up puppy cam technology, and puppy hot tubs with underwater cameras will be used. If watching these puppies compete is not enough, viewers can adopt the on-screen animals by visiting Petfinder.com.
You can catch the pups in action on Animal Planet, Feb 3 at 3 p.m.
