Here at JACK FM, we don’t sweat the small stuff. Unless, that is, you’re talking about food. You better believe we take our grub seriously. That’s why we were so upset when we saw this picture on Yahoo.com.

Go ahead, take a look. See what’s going on there? That’s a “footlong” sandwich that’s only 11 inches. What the hell Subway?

That picture was taken by angry Australian customer, Matt Corby, who busted out his measuring tape and discovered he was literally being shorted. He then put Subway on blast via Facebook, posting the picture of the short sub with the caption, “subway pls respond.” The image generated thousands of likes and comments before being removed.

Here’s the official explanation Subway gave, as told to ABCNews.com:

We are committed to providing a consistent product delivering the same amount of bread to the customer with every order. The length however may vary slightly when not baked to our exact specifications. We are reinforcing our policies and procedures in an effort to ensure our offerings are always consistent no matter which Subway restaurant you visit.

Uh huh. We’re not buying it. Don’t mess with our food, Subway.
