USC Student Launches ‘Bill Murray Appreciation Day’
Love Bill Murray? Well, who doesnt! If you don’t, please talk to the hand, my dear sir. One USC student loves the quirky actor so much that he’s taken it upon himself to create Bill Murray Appreciation Day which will appropriately happened on–you guessed it–Groundhog’s Day.
Christopher Guerrero, judging from his performance style, took a lot of his personal cues from his obvious personal hero.
Here’s “bearded boy’s” reasoning for said appreciation day/obsession as told on his Facebook page. Be a part of this dude’s dream.
It’s time for me to make my thesis film at USC, and, like most awesome events in life, it requires Bill Murray. So. To attract the elusive actor’s attention, we propose a new holiday: Bill Murray Appreciation Day (BMAD).
This holiday/event will take place on Saturday February 2nd 2013 (Groundhog Day, naturally).
In Los Angeles, beginning at 7:30 p.m. dress as a Murray character from your favorite Murray Movie and join us as we visit a variety of watering holes on the gorgeous (?) Sunset Strip!
Should you choose not to dress as a Murray Character:
1. Shame on you!
2. Bring a DIY shirt that says: “Where Are You Bill Murray?”
But it doesn’t stop there!!!
We encourage EVERYONE, everywhere to take part in this joyous day. Make an event in your town/city/county/junction! Spread the word! And help us find Bill Murray!
Make a sign!
Make some noise!
Make Murray happen!
