Classic hits artists are slowly joining the Twittersphere, and the latest to jump aboard the social network is Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood. While there are many fakes out there (several previous accounts bearing Wood’s name were never verified nor officially acknowledged by the Stones official account, and the account for his radio show was not actually run by him), Wood assured everyone via a photo that the account @RonaldDavidWood is actually him, and has been verified by Twitter.

Wood joins fellow Stones band mates Mick Jagger (@MickJagger) and Keith Richards (@officialKeef) who are already on the social network, as well as the band’s official account, @RollingStones, who welcomed Wood to the fold with a call for video requests.

Wood seems to enjoy Twitter, and is taking major advantage of getting fun photos out there.

Wood is already closing in on having 20,000 followers. Welcome to Twitter Mr. Wood!
