Hey honey, while you’re at Ikea, can you pick up some meatballs, a jar of ligonberry jam, and if they have one in stock, a baby sea lion?
‘Cuz apparently an emaciated baby sea lion was wondering the streets in Carson around Avalon Boulevard and Dominguez Street and that’s not entirely uncommon? What?
Miles away from the sea, the sea lions are coming in through the Dominguez Channel and they might be HIGH off from pollution.
Marine Animal Rescue program director Peter Wallerstein told the LA Weekly that he has a theory that “neurotoxins from pollution-fed algae blooms might be making the animals dazed and loopy.”
So, that explains every surfer we know.
