An entire 40-minute concert by a nascent Rage Against the Machine playing inside a tiny record store has been unearthed and posted online.

The March 29, 1992, performance was captured at the now defunct Zed’s Records in Long Beach, California, on two cameras by YouTube user CowProd and second camera operator only identified as Nanda. Watch the footage here.

The set finds the band performing songs that would end up on their 1992 debut full-length such as “Bomb Track” and “Take the Power Back.” They also perform lesser-known songs, like early B-side “Darkness.” Tunes like “Settle for Nothing” were so new at the time that lead singer Zach de la Rocha had to read the lyrics from a notebook. His mic goes out during “Killing in the Name,” but the vocals can still be heard in the small, tightly packed space.

Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler inadvertently stoked Rage Against the Machine reunion rumors while discussing the upcoming Sabbath full-length, 13, which features RATM drummer Brad Wilk. When asked if Wilk would be joining Black Sabbath on tour, Butler replied, “We’re not sure yet. We don’t know because I think Brad’s got commitments with Rage Against the Machine.”

RATM guitarist Tom Morello, however, unequivocally squashed those reunion rumors during a red carpet interview at this year’s GRAMMY Awards ceremony.
