Better block out the summer of 2024 in your iCal. If current Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa gets his way, our great city will be hosting the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

We’ve hosted the games twice before and the were a general boon to the aesthetics of our city, but if they were to happen in 11 years we’d need a lot more changes. Like better public transportation?

Maybe we’ll get all these things we need for our city if the U.S. Olympic Committee accepts Villaraigosa’s bid. The big names endorsing the idea might help. Notables include Magic Johnson, tom Hanks, and more.

What do you think? Can we handle another Olympic games in 11 years? Does JACK FM have a chance to light the torch? No? You don’t think so? Whatever. Don’t mock our dreams.
