Have you ever wanted to greet the dawn in a drunken, blurry haze from the comfort of your neighborhood bar?

Well, if State Se. Mark Leno gets his way functioning and not-remotely-functioning alcoholics alike will be able to cure what ails them with their favorite pint of ale until 4am.

Places like Vegas, NYC, and Miami already let their tourists wild out until the wee hours of the morning.

According to a report by the LA Weekly, Leno has introduced the controversial legislation i.e. SB 635 that will “allow destination cities like San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego to start local conversations about the possibility of expanding nightlife and the benefits it could provide the community by boosting jobs, tourism and local tax revenue.”

What do you think? Should “closing time” merely be the subject of a Semisonic song or should California keep pursuing later closing hours for bars?
