Coca-Cola Passes Over California, No Kosher For Passover Coke This Year
For those not in the know (or not Jewish), Passover starts next Monday. While Jewish people will be feasting on decadent, sacred tradition meals at the Passover seder and their youngest will be trying to sneak sips of Manischewitz, the one thing Californian Jews might be bemoaning is the lack of kosher Coca-Cola to help them through a weeks worth of feed restriction.
Because of manufacturing changes in California and concerns over shelf stability, Coca-Cola won’t be able to make their sugary drink sans high-fructose corn syrup for the high holiday. Many traditional Jewish people do not include corn in their diets during Passover.
A Coca-Cola representative says they are working on it.
If one must drink this body-deteriorating beverage, since we live in Southern California, the obvious way around this is MEXICAN COKE. No, not the white stuff, the sugar-based stuff that is corn syrup free.
Think your kids like how Manischewitz makes them feel? Oh, boy. Wait until they try the good stuff in the glass bottles.
