Is your street is a crappy gravel death trap or do the kids next door like to graffiti yolo all over your garage door?
Instead of calling some random line that no one ever picks up, Los Angeles has unleashed an app for iPhones and Andriods called MyLA311 where you can report stuff like that.
Not only can you file maintenance reports, you can also pay your DWP bill and find places like public swimming pools and libraries with ease.
“Angelenos now have a direct mobile portal to vital services and key city information,” said Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. “This will spur a more open and transparent government. MyLA311 puts the power of City Hall in the palm of your hand.”
On top of the recently announced self-reporting of small crimes via the internet, is Los Angeles getting more tech-savvy or more lazy? Would you prefer to talk to an actual human being or do you like the ease of having civic tools at your fingertips?
