Does your child have a vivid imagination? First things first, squash that inclination before they turn out like the liner writers at JACK FM. Second, thank your gods, goddesses, and unaligned deities that they aren’t pulling pranks like an 11-year-old San Pedro boy who lied about being kidnapped by a masked man to cover up “because he didn’t want to get in trouble for stealing some candy.”
The Daily Breeze reports (via LAist) that the 6th grader went wandering when his parents were late to pick him up, disappeared for three hours, and then attempted to steal some Skittles.
When cops found him after he want missing, the boy made up a story about a masked man duct taping his mouth and throwing him in a car. Eventually, the boy got free by kicking the man in his man parts.
What this has to do with stealing Skittles we have no idea, but the false report says a lot about children these days.
Mostly that they are lucky little bastards who don’t get arrested for making up crazy stories and stealing.
