Prince Funds High School Jazz Group’s Trip To NYC

Last month, Prince released ‘FIXURLIFEUP,’ a rockin’ track and a tease to his new album, Plectrum Electrum. Now, the Purple One is fixing up a high school jazz band from Oregon with a trip to New York City.

According to The New York Post, Prince donated profits from his April 21st concert at the Roseland Theater in Portland to the American Music Program so the high school jazz group would be able to travel and compete in the Essentially Ellington competition at Jazz at Lincoln Center May 10-12.
