Ex-Guns N’ Roses drummer Steven Adler is back in rehab. Openly an addict who was on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, Adler has been dealing with addiction issues since he the height of his careeer in the ’80s. Part of the reason he was kicked out of Guns N’ Roses were his drug issues.

Although he recently released a new album in January called Back From The Dead and has been touring in his band Adler, Adler frontman Jacob Bunton issued a statement saying Steven Adler was taking a break from touring.

“We are truly sorry to all of the fans and promoters who were looking forward to seeing us on the road,” said Bunton. “But right now Steven’s health is the most important thing. We hope to make it up to everyone when Steven recovers.”

According to Classic Rock Magazine, Adler commended shows like Celebrity Rehab.

“Having the treatment on TV made it easier because the camera doesn’t lie. You try to bullshit your way out of things, but then you watch yourself on camera and you see the truth,” said the musician. “When you’re doing drugs you think you’re ten feet tall and beautiful. But you can’t be in denial when there’s a camera in your face.”
