MusiCares, the non-profit organization that provides assistance–medical and otherwise–to those in the music industry is known as much for their awesome shows as for their altruistic endeavors.
It was recently announced that the philanthropic organization will feature several rock and roll notables at their ninth annual MusicCares MAP Fun Benefit concert at Club Nokia in Los Angeles on May 30th.
Names includes Slash and Duff McKagan from Guns N’ Roses, members of Stone Temple Pilots–no Scott Weiland, sorry–Mix Master Mike, and Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington.
The benefit will raise money for musicians recovering from addiction and, as someone who has recovered himself, Bennington will receive a Steve Ray Vaughn Award for his support.
