In recent years, former Led Zeppelin singer Robert Plant has worked with a number of collaborators: his Band Of Joy on the 2010 album of the same name, with Alison Krauss on 2007’s multi-GRAMMY winning Raising Sand, and with the Strange Sensation on 2005’s Mighty Rearranger. Last year, he announced that his latest backing group would be The Sensational Space Shifters, and that they’d put out a new album in 2013. Fans have had the chance to hear Plant’s band – having toured abroad, they’ve released several live concert recordings on iTunes – but now, U.S. fans can see them as well. Plant has just posted a video of their take on Zeppelin’s “Black Dog.”

Plant released a sneak peak of what fans can expect on the band’s U.S. tour when he uploaded a video of the band performing the Led Zeppelin classic “Black Dog”. Plant and the Space Shifters recreate the rock classic into a more folk/down-tempo number as they incorporate strings and percussion into the closing of the song.
