The bar scene in West Hollywood is pretty, how shall we put this, “vibrant.” By that we mean, on every major street is a barrage of bars, restaurants, and drunk people, all trying to get their hedonism on. Instead of trying to shun the sinners, West Hollywood is embracing the money-making mayhem by going forward with plans for an “entertainment shuttle.”
Once the WeHo City Council finds a shuttle service good enough for their 6-month pilot program, the shuttle will run on weekends from July to December. The proposal for the shuttle says it will make 15-minute runs along Doheny Drive through Fairfax and down Santa Monica Blvd. The shuttle will run from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m.
Everything is expected to cost about $93,000 and it seems with this sort of plan the City will be losing money in DUI fees but gaining respect for all the potential lives they could save.
What do you think? Will you take the WeHo Party Bus?
