McDonalds Unleashes The Godzilla Of Fast Food Items On Japan
McDonald’s is synonymous with fast food, and when you think of fast food, you think of calories. Lots of ‘em. The Big Mac? 550 calories. A Quarter Pounder? 540 calories. Even just a plain old cheeseburger packs 300 calories.
But in Japan, people can scoff at those wimpy numbers, because McDonald’s has just unleashed upon the island its highest calorie item ever.
Its name is Mega Potato. And just like Godzilla, it’s a monster.
Mega Potato (whose name, appropriately, sounds just like a kaiju that’s about to take out Tokyo) is essential two orders of large fries jammed into one serving. It weighs over three-quarters of a pound. The caloric count? A heart attack inducing 1,142 calories. That’s more than a Big Mac and a Quarter Pounder combined.
It’s only available for a limited time, May 24th through June, according to the Huffington Post. And right now, it’s only available in Japan. Sorry Texas.
