Lately there’s been a lot of buzz over two supergroups of a sort: Atoms for Peace featuring Thom Yorke and Flea and the new iteration of Stone Temple Pilots featuring Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington. But you haven’t seen a truly-uber supergroup until you’ve seen the newest in the talent laden Kings of Chaos.
Kings of Chaos features members from all the bands JACK FM loves including Guns N’ Roses‘ Matt Sorum, Gilby Clarke, Slash, and Duff McKagan, Deep Purple‘s Glenn Hughes, Collective Soul‘s Ed Roland, Skid Row‘s Sebastian Bach, Def Leppard‘s Joe Elliot and more.
Different sites are quoting different band members, so we have a feeling the line-up is ever evolving while the collect the greatest names known to music on the face of the planet.
Recently, Kings of Chaos played a show in Cape Town, South Africa and have said they are planning to record an EP with original material while they perform hits from each one of their bands.
Rolling Stone reviewed their show and gave it high praises, saying: “The crowd was completely mesmerized, as the stage was littered with Rock Stars. The feelings of mutual respect and admiration between each member was palpable, and it seemed as if they were proud to be playing with each other. Technically, the band was so tight, you would have thought they had spent a year rehearsing all of these songs, they sounded flawless, and the fun they were having on stage, was certainly felt by the audience. The crowd could sense the brotherhood, and it made for an unforgettable dynamic.”
Hopefully Kings of Chaos will be coming home soon to where most of these band’s started: the Sunset Strip.
