So the Pope, he’s a pretty cool guy. Thousands of bikers riding atop their American made Harley Davidsons came roaring into St. Peter’s Square in Vatican City Sunday to celebrate Harley’s 110th anniversary. Pope Francis, unfazed by the guests, then proceeded to dole out blessings and a barely-audible-above-the-growl-of-thousands-of-Harleys “Our Father.”
And despite already having the Popemobile (which, btw, is a sweet Mercedes-Benz M Class SUV), Pope Francis then received two Harleys and a leather jacket as a gift, reports the Huffington Post.
Sounds like Rome was the place to be this weekend, no offense Dad. Besides the thousands of Harleys from around the world descending on the city, the Vatican also hosted a pro-life rally, and Rome itself threw a gay pride parade. No word on wether any Hells Angels were in attendance.
