What happens when you spin Pink Floyd‘s “Wish You Were Here” one million times on Spotify, Dr. Evil Pinky? Well, besides taking over the world, Pink Floyd released their entire back catalog on the music platform for their tech-savvy fans to enjoy.
And it only took those fans four days to reach that goal. According to Classic Rock Magazine, Spotify man-in-charge Ken Parks says that it’s a “great day for prog rock,” but mostly for younger fans who “have yet to be really turned on to the magic of Floyd.”
Despite EMI having inked a deal with Spotify two years ago, Floyd’s albums were part of the agreement. Now via their verified Spotify profile you can listen to remastered classics such as Ummagumma, Dark Side Of The Moon, The Wall, and more.
