Have you ever driven past giant lines of people outside of a sneaker store waiting for hours for a limited edition pair of sneaks?
Those shoe lovers might seem insane to us, but not as insane as a robber who pulled out of a gun on Atlanta, Georgia customers waiting in line for LeBron James of the Miami Heat’s collab sneakrs with Denim and Nike.
According to the Huffington Post, the robber accosted people a little bit before dawn, presumably trying to rob people of their $180 sneaks that could be sold for way more on Ebay.
Except witnesses said the man pulled a gun about seven hours before the store called Wish opened, which means no one had their shoes yet, just a ton of money.
One of the victims wasn’t gonna let the burglar get in the way of his dope sneaks, so he pulled out his own handgun and shot the robber in what witnesses are calling self-defense.
Another victim gave props to the man who protected them from the sneaker-money thief.
“He [the shooter] really stood up for all of us. I salute the homie that did that.”
