Where To Get Legal Fireworks in Los Angeles County
Even though you won’t get your hands on the really dramatic ones, you don’t have to drive to Mexico for fireworks, despite what your friends tell you. Fireworks officially went on sale in California yesterday and will continue to sell throughout the holiday weekend.
Finding those legal fireworks is trickier than it might seem and the risk of purchasing them illegally is even trickier. You could get anything from jail or a hefty fine for buying and/or setting off fireworks within Los Angeles city limits, because as we should all know by now, fireworks are dangerous.
According to Los Angeles Times though, there are is a liist of 295 communities in the state that allow the sale and use of approved “safe and sane” fireworks this year has been published online by “The California Fireworks Newswire.”
Some of these communities include: Alhambra, Artesia, Azusa, Baldwin Park, Bell, Bell Gardens, Bellflower, Carson, Commerce, Compton, Cudahy, Downey, Duarte, El Monte, Gardena, Hawaiian Gardens, Hawthorne, Huntington Park, Industry, Inglewood, Irwindale, La Mirada, La Puente, Lakewood, Lawndale, Lynwood, Maywood, Montebello, Monterey Park, Norwalk, Palmdale, Paramount, Pico Rivera, Rosemead, Santa Fe Springs, South El Monte, South Gate, Temple City and Vernon.
