Have you ever woken, checked our bank account with dread, and then seen way more than you imagined would be in there? You either a) spend on this surprising amount, hopeful that’s it’s somehow real or you b) wait until the bank figures out they made a mistake.
This same situation happened to Chris Reynolds of Pennsylvania but multipied by a quadrillion. For a brief moment in time, Reynolds was the world’s first “quadrillionaire” when PayPal accidentally sent him a statement saying he had $92,233,720,368,547,800 in his account. But when he logged on to see what was going on, he only had $0 in there. Bummer dude.
PayPal said that it was an error and an inconvenience, to which Reynolds replied to the Philadelphia Daily News that we would have paid the national dept and bought the Phillies at a “great price.”
Even the richest man in the world wouldn’t spend top dollar on the Phillies. That says sometimes.
