Now You Know: You Can’t Take Your Horse Through A McDonalds Drive-Thru
Put your Palomino away if you plan on getting some nuggets from Mickey D’s via drive-thru. A Manchester, England lady and her daughter learned the messy way that McDonalds doesn’t take kindly to horsies–at least in that area of England. We can’t speak for the rural Mid-West of the United States. Laws are probably way different there.
So, after this woman rolled up on a horse this Saturday, she was refused service for “health and safety reasons” and that a horse in the drive-thru caused “distress” to other customers. Maybe because they realized how similar to horse meat their hamburgers tasted?
“The staff refused to serve the women due to company policy. The women then took the horse into the restaurant who ended up doing his business on the floor,” an article in the Telegraph goes on to say. ” “The sight and smell of this caused obvious distress and upset to customers trying to eat, as well as staff members. Officers arrived at the location and woman was issued a Fixed Penalty notice for causing alarm & distress to other customers and staff.”
Our ancestors used to basically cuddle with horses on long trips through the Seven Kingdoms. You didn’t see them whining that they had to drink their McFlurry around their furry friends.
