Well, you’re screwed if you’re a Westsider or commuting from the Valley to the Westside. The northbound 405 off-ramp at Sunset will be shut down for 120 days—and that shut down starts tonight. And guess what time it starts? Perfect timing really on the part of Los Angeles–7pm, right in the middle or rush hour.
The freeway shut-down comes as part of the 405 Sepulveda Pass Improvements Poroject and will make an off-ramp that is longer, stronger, and less annoying to exit.
Plan your detour, Westsiders: The northbound 405 off-ramp to Sunset Boulevard will be shut down for 120 days starting tonight.
Daytime: Northbound I-405 off-ramp to westbound Wilshire Boulevard, to northbound Sepulveda Boulevard, to eastbound Sepulveda Way, to westbound Sunset Boulevard.
Alternate: Moraga Drive off-ramp, to southbound Sepulveda Boulevard, right on Church Lane to Sunset Boulevard.
Nighttime: Northbound I-405 off-ramp to westbound Wilshire Boulevard, right on northbound San Vicente Boulevard, right onto north Barrington Avenue, left onto westbound Sunset Boulevard.
Northbound I-405 off-ramp to eastbound Wilshire Boulevard, to northbound Veteran Avenue to eastbound Sunset Boulevard.
And if you can do it, maybe just convince your boss you want to telecommute? Yeah, good luck with that buddy.
