Your local funeral plot losing space thanks to the American diet? There’s a solution for that with infinite amounts of space. A company called Elysium Space will take your cremated body up into space on a “memorial spaceflight” from Cape Canaveral in Florida.
All your relatives have to do is plop down two grand and your remains go into a capsule that goes into Earth’s orbit for a few months. Your family can follow the orbit of your ashes through the cosmos with a special app. Eventually, your body will fall back down into Earth’s atmosphere “with the brightness of a shooting star.”
Where it goes after that is anyone’s guess? It just lands where it lands probably.
If you think that’s weird, other people that have been “buried in space,” include the guy who played Scotty on Star Trek and its creator Gene Roddenberry.
