Burger King Releasing Low Calorie Fry Called “Satisfries”
In what we consider to be a way too early (or late) April Fool’s joke, burger Kind has annoounced that it’s coming out with a low-calorie fry for us fatass Americans called “Satisfries.”
At 270-calories for a regular size, compared small fries at 340-calories, you are getting more potato for your bang and less calories for your buck. Well, actually more than a buck because at $1.89 for a small order of the “Satisfies,” the low-calorie fry is actually more expensive.
According to the Burger King website via Gothamist, “Satisfries” are “a new great tasting crinkle-cut french fries with 40% less fat and 30% fewer calories.”
But they are still fried. So are they that much healthier? Especially when you pair them with an allegedly cancer laced diet soda? Buy us a couple of orders (hey, we’re saving calories here) and we’ll get back to you in 5-10 years.
