“Oh look. I have 50 years, 3 months, 2 days, 4 hours, 12 minutes, and 32 seconds until I die. Make that 30 seconds. 28 seconds. Shoot.”
That’s the premise behind Tikker. It’s a watch that gives you the conventional time, but also tells time in a somewhat morbid way, counting down the years, months, days, even seconds until you die. Well, an estimated guess as to when you’ll die (it not like Logan’s Run or anything. A reference that people with, oh, 20 years left on their Tikker’s will get). All you do is fill out a questionnaire and Tikker starts counting away, according to their Kickstarter page.
But Tikker insists it’s not meant to depress you. Rather, it’s supposed to serve as a reminder to make every second in your life count. What do you think, would you wear a “death watch?”
