Mick Mars Says He’s Not The Reason Motley Crue Is Retiring

To everyone who thinks Motley Crue‘s retirement is because of Mick Mars‘ faltering health: You’re dead wrong. Mick Mars is denying rumors from his own peeps, including Tommy Lee, that his struggle with ankylosing spondylitis (AS) is keeping him from continuing touring. Nope. Mars purportedly will keep touring until he is dead.

Although both Vince Neil and Tommy Lee have said touring is getting too painful for Mars, the guitarist said on Twitter:  “Once again, any rumours regarding a farewell tour due to me ‘poor health’ is BS. I am doing fine. My AS has never kept me from touring.”

To which Lee replied:  “It’s probably not so much about your physical health, it’s more about our mental health as a band. Haha!”

It seems like suffering with something since you are 19-years-old can get a little tiresome. Do you think Mars is just trying to save face or is the band legitimately concerned for his health?
