Dr. Cranfill’s NFL Week 11 Picks-N-Giggles
Stop the presses, hold the phones, disregard the constabulary!!! I went 4-0 in last weeks picks? Wonder if that momentum will carry over into Week 11? Will the sun shine in that one place? Let’s find out…
Oakland Raiders vs Houston Texans (-7)- 10am on CBS
Another week, another dead-on prediction by me on the Raiders last week. Can I go for 10-0 in Week 11 as the Black and Silver travels to Texas? Who knows. Here’s what I do know. As country recording artist Alabama once told us, “if you’re going to play in Texas, ya gotta have a fiddle in the band.” I checked the Raiders roster. Not one guy named Fiddle. Additionally, THIS is what happened to me the one time I went to Texas and I don’t think Oakland has that kinda firepower. Take the Texans to cover that 7 points.
Baltimore Ravens vs Chicago Bears (-3)- 10am on CBS
Bears QB Jay Cutler is out this week after returning prematurely last week from a torn groin. Also, I would like to take a moment to remind all you Bears fans out there that THIS picture still exists. That being said, I am still taking the Bears here to win and cover. You know what a group of Ravens are called? That’s right. A murder. The same thing Joe Flaccos’ huge off-season contract did to the Ravens hopes of repeating as Super Bowl Champions.
* I am now being informed/reminded that I am stupid and a group of Ravens is not called a murder. A murder is a group of crows. A group of Ravens are known as an UNKINDNESS or a CONSPIRACY. That is, if Google is to be believed. Sorry for the inaccuracy. As I’ve said before, I went to public school in the south. I, AM, DUMB.
San Diego Chargers (-1) vs Miami Dolphins– 1:05pm on CBS
What can I say about the Miami Dolphins 2013 season that hasn’t already been said about Lil Kim’s face? I am beyond sick of hearing about the Dolphins soap opera and I don’t think I am alone there. That being said, take the Chargers to win and cover here. Or don’t and move on with your life because in the big NFL picture, this game matters almost as much as your requests on JACK FM do.
