If you need new Led Zeppelin in your life, what about some old stuff that never saw the light of day? Jimmy Page has confessed that Led Zeppelin’s album reissues will include unreleased material.
The reissues come out next year and includes every album being remastered. Page said in an interview that a companion disc comes along with it including different versions of “Since I’ve Been Loving You.” Jimmy Page has confirmed that the Led Zeppelin album reissues will be released next year and that they will include unreleased material by the band.
“That’s one little item of it,” continued Page, “but what it gives is a companion disc to ‘Led Zeppelin III’. It’ll come out in its own box. Each disc will give a really intimate picture of the group – that’s the idea that I’ve had with it and I think it’s successful.”
Page remastered everything himself in a west London studio.
“The catalog was last remastered 20 years ago,”said Page, “That’s a long time. Everything is being transferred from analog to a higher-resolution digital format. That’s one of the problems with the Zeppelin stuff. It sounds ridiculous on MP3. You can’t hear what’s there properly.”
We can’t wait to hear what Page has done.
