Have you ever been racing down the highway with your hands barely clutched on the steering wheel as you play air guitar? If you’re listening to JACK FM, this probably happens upwards of five times a day and according to insurance website Confused.com, there are certain songs that are just freakin’ dangerous for driving rock lovers.

Using an app called the MotorMate, Confused.com tracked motorists over a 250 mile drive. Interestingly, men tend to drive more aggressively to rock ‘n roll, while women respond the same to hip-hop. The number one most dangerous driving song? Guns n’ Roses‘ “Paradise City.”

According to a London area psychologist named Simon Moore, noisy music that increases your heart rate is a “deadly mix.” The best music to listen to is that which matches your natural heart rate.

“A fast tempo can cause people to subconsciously speed up to match the song. Also, listening to music you don’t like can cause stress and distraction, and that also negatively affects driving.”

Better songs to listen to? Aerosmith‘s “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing,” Kings Of Leon‘s “Closer” and David Bowie‘s “Life On Mars.”
