New Year’s Eve is basically the whole world’s excuse to get totally plastered all together–one giant booze-filled liver in perfect harmony. But that doesn’t mean you should drink and drive, because that’s really freakin’ dumb and your New Year’s Resolution is not to be dumb in 2014, right? Yeah, good luck with that.
Courtesy of the LA Weekly, here’s some DUI patrols and checkpoints in Los Angeles:
Tonight the California Highway Patrol will be in “maximum enforcement period” mode, meaning all hands will be on deck and on the lookout for drunk drivers. This starts at 6:01 p.m., according to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department.
Tonight multi-agency DUI patrols will be happening in El Segundo, Gardena, Hawthorne, Hermosa Beach, Inglewood, Manhattan Beach, Palos Verdes Estates, Redondo Beach, Torrance and in the area around El Camino College, the sheriff’s department says.
Tonight additional DUI patrols will be happening in Arcadia, Bellflower and Pomona, deputies said.
