Britain’s moodiest musician, Morrissey, has announced that he has signed to Harvest Records (which is a subsidiary of Capital) and plans on releasing new music this year.
The highly-anticipated album will be Morrissey’s first follow-up since 2009’s Years of Refusal.
Other bands on Harvest are electro-punk weirdos like Death Grips who also have a habit of canceling their shows.
According to Pitchfork, Moz starts working on his new album with producer Joe Chiccarelli (the White Stripes, Beck, the Strokes) in France later this month.
It will be recorded with his touring band of whom he plans on touring more with in 2014.
