Crime is down, so it’s time to bloody up the streets of Los Angeles with some good old fashioned Spanish-flavored violence. No, this isn’t an extra-spicy tapas resturaunt, but rather a chance for you to run with the bulls.
Temecula is bringing us the first ever Southern California running of the bulls with The Great Bull Run this summer.
Everything will go down at the Galway Downs Equestrian Center on midsummer’s night eve a/k/a June 21. Fairies and solstices and possible bull maulings? Pagan life.
As you can tell from the venue, people won’t be running down streets like in Pamplona but rather down a quarter-mile track with escape routes. You’ll have to sign a waiver and pay for insurance and then after that, you’re free to get mutilated by a bull’s horn if you like. But with all the safety things put in place, it’s highly unlikely.
