Tragically for many people, Courtney Love hasn’t gone anywhere. She’s still courting notoriety, playing music, and looking for missing planes. No one can say that real “any press is good press” doesn’t apply to the grunge-era goddess who continues to worm her way into weekly conversation.
That’s part of the reason why a Hole reunion with the original line-up seems like such a timely move for the musician. And Love just confirmed that her, Eric Erlandson, Melissa Auf Der Maur, and Patty Schemel will come back together to play music after 12 years of doing their own thing,
“I started playing with Patty and Melissa and Eric, just to see how that was,” said Love in a recent interview. “We already played like three or four times in the last week.”
They’re not just practicing old stuff; they’re working on new music, too.
In other arenas of her life, Love is also working on a Kurt Cobain musical wherein Cobain’s angst-ridden lyrics and heroin-dosed life will be set to song.
