Prince is selling his marble-smothered Spanish villa for $7.75 million? Oh, we’ll be able to buy that…when doves cry.  The glyphster has a penchant for gaudy places of residence.

Curbed.com says he even requested a London hotel paint his hotel room all black. And once, he got in trouble for breaking a lease by “installing monogrammed purple carpeting” in a house he was renting. Maybe he’s just too demanding and never satisfied–which is why he’s requesting that the next owner of his Spanish abode paint the entire abode “purple.”

The house itself is pretty old-world classy with a giant staircase, a tennis court, heated pool, and probably lots of sexy history considering he purchased the property for his hottie ex-wife Mayte Garcia.

Even though Prince hasn’t hung out at the place since the couple’s split in the ’90s, their initials curl around each other throughout the villa and there’s even a giant portrait in the main hall.  We wonder what kind of stories that Italian marble would tell.
