While you’re driving around in your Ford Tundra, worried about the zombie apocalypse or the “Big One,” chances are a some sort of lung disorder will get you first.

In today’s super depresso news, Los Angeles was proved to be America’s most “ozone-polluted” city. It’s a lot better than it used to be, but it’s still not good said the American Lung Association in its “State of the Air 2014″ report.

While we’re #1 in terms of major metropolitan cities (yay! go us), we’re not the most polluted area in general in Calfiornia. Fresno-Madera came in at #1, Visalia-Porterville-Hanford came in at #2, Bakersfield at #3, and Los Angeles-Long Beach at #4.

According to the American Lung Association, we only have worse air to look forward to:

Of the 25 metro areas most polluted by ozone, 22 had worse ozone problems. Among those measuring worse ozone problems were Los Angeles, Houston, Washington-Baltimore, Las Vegas, Phoenix, New York City, Cincinnati, Chicago, and Philadelphia.

Cool, well, pretty sure the dirtiest thing in our air(waves) is JACK FM.
