We love weird covers, but Kirk Hammett may have jumped the shark with his cover of old time-y song “Daisy Bell.” Even if you don’t think you know this song, trust us you know this song. You’ve heard it in like almost every old movie pre-World War II.

The Victorian song is part of a cover album called The Gay Nineties Old Tyme Music: Daisy Bell that features Hammett, Tyler the Creator, Nick Cave, Katy Perry, Danny Elfman and Mark Mothersbaugh from Devo all covering that same old weird song.

Created in 1892, the song has become a huge hit that has last longer than 100 years in its popularlity.

The money from the album goes to a music education nonprofit called Little Kids Rock and the cover art will be done by famous artist Mark Ryden, who created the idea and is probably the one who got all these awesome artists involved.

Listen to an old-school version of “Daisy Bell” above.
