Growing up I remember watching 20/20 with Barbara Walters and Hugh Downs every Friday night. I always loved hearing her say her name and have always thought she was a great journalist. But I would never go as far to do what one woman in New Orleans did.
Walters, who joined ABC in 1976, gave a good-bye on the talk show she created, The View, as she slipped into retirement.
Liz Dodd of New Orleans is a super fan of the news journalist wanted to pay tribute to her favorite anchor of all time by getting a giant tattoo of Walters on her arm.
She told New Orleans’ WGNO-TV, “I’m probably the first woman to get a Barbara Walters tattoo. She was a pioneer woman all over the world. Now I’m a pioneer too.”
It took a whopping five hours to get the tattoo done.
